Full renovation and expansion of the former Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, on Jamaica's north coast.
Under a construction management agent contract with Playa Hotels & Resorts, TLDI oversaw architecture, engineering, permitting, construction and procurement, from the first concepts and permits in April 2013 to opening in December 2014: twenty months for a 621-key dual-brand resort. The resort is now part of TLDI's Hurricane Melissa repair and renovation program on Jamaica's north coast, started for Playa Hotels & Resorts and continued for Tortuga.
Scope of works
- Renovation of the existing hotel, 54,880 m² and 427 guest rooms
- A new four-level commercial building with 69 rooms and a new five-level adults-only building with 124 rooms
- Three new pools, a man-made beach, new central plant and conversion of all electrical systems from 60Hz to Jamaica's 50Hz grid
